- Dalmatia – Zadar
Telašćica is a long, sheltered bay on Dugi Otok, full of small islands and coves, with the Kornati islands just beyond it.
On the seaward side the island ends in steep white cliffs that drop into the open sea, and on a narrow strip of land between the bay and the cliffs lies Mir, a small salt lake that is warmer than the sea around it. Pine woods, olive groves and the donkeys that wander near the lake make it one of the most loved boat-trip stops in northern Dalmatia.

Getting there
How to get to Telašćica
Telašćica is the deep bay at the southern end of the island of Dugi Otok, west of Zadar, right next to the Kornati islands. Most visitors arrive on a boat trip from Zadar, Biograd, Murter or Sukošan. You can also take the car ferry from Zadar to Brbinj on Dugi Otok, or the passenger boat to Sali, and drive or cycle to the park from the village of Sali. Sailors can anchor or moor in the bay, which is one of the best sheltered harbours in the Adriatic. Check opening hours, ticket prices and any road closures on the park's official website before you go, as they change with the season.
